Dick Vincent Dick Vincent is London's Towpath Ranger. Along with his team, he works hard to ensure that London's Towpaths remain one of the best places in the world to walk and cycle. He used to live on a boat in the Bow Back Rivers, but now lives on land near the Old Surrey canal with his girlfriend, cat and several 'vintage' (broken) bicycles. -

Damian Kemp Damian Kemp is a project officer for British Waterways and has been with the company for two years Prior to joining British Waterways Damian worked for the Royal Navy as a medic on its submarines before moving into nuclear decommissioning and marketing for the construction industry. Paul Martin Since retiring in 2010, Paul has been keeping himself busy by volunteering with both Sustrans and British Waterways. The Wildlife Trust at Westport Lake is the latest volunteering role he has, this includes brush clearance, tree planting, coppicing etc mainly in North Staffordshire. -
Robin Evans Having previously worked for Historic Royal Palaces and The Landmark Trust, British Waterways' chief executive is helping to guide the organisation's waterways in England and Wales towards a new charitable status. In his spare time Robin enjoys getting out and about on the waterways, gardening and reading (most recently on his Kindle). -

Robert McLean In his youth, Rob used to be involved in the design and construction of Anglian flood defences, boreholes and bridges. After a career change into the media and charity sectors, he returned to the waterways in 2002, this time with fire and carbon monoxide safety in focus. He is now heard to say "is that equivalent with ISO 10239" just a little too often... -

Nick Worthington Joined BW in March 1999 as a waterway engineer at Fradley. Since then, I've worked as a Supervisor, Canal Manager, Water Engineer, Auditor, Maintenance Manager, Senior Operations Manager, and now a Waterway Manager - yes I've been around the block a few times! Like our Chairman, I support Aston Villa but also follow Worcester Rugby and Cradley Speedway (the 'Heathens'). I now live in Ledbury and amongst other things, enjoy walking the Malvern Hills and strumming an acoustic guitar. -

Terry Sigsworth Terry is a tunnel operative on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. He can usually be found in the depths of Standedge Tunnel, chaperoning boats or running tourist trips, and has a strong appreciation for canal heritage and the environment. -
Liz Waddington Liz Waddington has edited BW's staff newspaper, BW Monthly, since 2001 and enjoyed her first canal holiday when she was 10. -
Edd Moss Edd is BW's National Volunteering Manager and general 'enjoyer' of the waterways, be that cycling, kayaking or just ambling on a sunny afternoon. He's worked for BW for 10 years. -
John Bruce John is Marketing Coordinator for Scotland and has been with British Waterways since November 2006. When not at work, he enjoys nothing more than a competitive game of snap. -
Sally Ash Sally is Head of Boating Business. She joined BW as research officer in 1976 after postgraduate research at Reading University studying leisure use of inland waterways. A canal enthusiast inspired by teenage years exploring waterways in Shropshire. -
Patrol Team The London Enforcement Team currently has five members of staff. They look after the canals and rivers in Central London, Docklands, Brentford, Slough, Hertford and Bishops Stortford. -
Natalie Bhogal Natalie joined BW in 2004 and became editor of waterscape in 2005. She now works across all of BW's websites and is able to spell 'Pontcysyllte' without looking it up.
