Very, very nice video. We have ridden many poirtons of the Great Allegheny Passage and I can not say enough about its beauty and serenity. The video talks about the thousands who visit but the trail is not crowded with people! There is more of a feeling that you are alone in the wilderness once you are a couple miles beyond the access points.I highly recommend a book by Bill Metzger entitled, The Great Allegheny Passage. It gives a mile by mile history beginning at McKeesport, PA. Do you know what a whistle post is? And did you know that brakemen had to climb on top of the train and hop from car to car and manually apply the brakes in order to stop the train? Yep, until George Westinghouse invented the air brake that's how things worked. His invention saved countless lives.
