Barton Broad

Barton Broad is the second largest of the Broads. It's a great place for boating and holds a colourful annual regatta at the end of August.

The Broads Authority began a major effort in 1995 to restore Barton Broad to a healthy state, to make it a better place for wildlife and people. The most ambitious broads restoration project to date, it included improvements to wildlife habitats, a huge increase in the area available for boats, restoration of lost landscape features and innovative improvements in access for visitors on land and on the water.
