Fishing along the Bassenthwaite Lake

Cumbria's most northern lake supports a significant head of trout, especially brown trout. There are also plenty of shoals of roach and large pike on offer for the coarse angler.

Interestingly, Bassenthwaite Lake is one of only two in Britain (the other is Derwentwater) to have the fish vendace, of the same family as salmon and trout.

Unfortunately we don’t currently have any information on fishing and fisheries.

If you know of any, please tell us by emailing feedback@waterscape.com. We’re always happy to add information to waterscape.com.
