Walking along the Bridgewater Canal
The Bridgewater Canal Linear Route is a self-guided walk along the canal. There is a 3.25 mile circular walk starting at the car park opposite Worsley Court House, following much of the canal. See Ordnance Survey map 109 (Manchester, Bolton & Warrington.)
Worsley to Barton is a five-mile walk, and the 14-mile walk, "In Brindley's Footsteps", takes approximately 6-7 hours.
