Walking along the Caldon Canal
The towpath at the Caldon Canal is ideal for the country walking enthusiast. Apart from the wonderful Staffordshire scenery, there are lots of things to see - from the Leek Branch aqueduct, to locks, mills and a steam railway at Cheddleton. There are also several watering holes along the way.
Good walking is to be had around the shores of Rudyard Lake: more details are available from its Visitor Centre.
Take a self-guided tour around historic Etruria.
