Cycling along the Caledonian Canal

The Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen have many excellent cycling routes, ranging from a leisurely cycle along the canal towpath to mountain biking along the Great Glen Way Long Distance Walking Route. The Forestry Commission also has various Mountain Biking Trails in and around the Great Glen.

A new cycle route designed for touring cycles is currently in consultation, and Sustrans hope to start building the NCN Route 78 along the Great Glen in 2009.
