Claerwen (Elan Valley Estate)

The 45,000 acre Elan Estate is situated in an extremely picturesque part of Mid-Wales, close to the market town of Rhayader. Claerwen is one of six reservoirs in this area.

The Elan Valley is arguably one of the most beautiful parts of Wales. The 70 square miles of hill, valley, woodland and reservoirs is owned by Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, with most of the uplands leased to the Elan Valley Trust.
