Cycling along the Derwent Reservoir (Derbyshire)
Lots of people visit Derwent Reservoir for its cycling opportunities. There's one route of just under 18 miles which starts at the car park at the National Park Information Centre, just below the dam wall of Derwent Reservoir. There are plenty of other cycling routes using a number of terrains - bridleways, roads and former railway tracks - to suit all levels of rider.
Derwent Cycle Hire (01433 651261) is just behind the Visitor's Centre and has a large selection of adult and kids bikes for hire.
