Wildlife along the Derwent Reservoir (Derbyshire)
The Derwent Reservoir project is a partnership between Northumbrian Water and Durham Wildlife Trust, primarily focussed on practical reserve management and habitat creation for key biodiversity species within the nature reserve at Derwent Reservoir. This has involved projects such as pond creation for Great Crested Newts and Grass Snakes, heathland restoration benefitting Adders, tree planting, habitat creation for Otters and grassland management for invertebrates.
