Filby Broad
Filby Broad is one of a group of broads (including Ormesby and Rollesby Broads) which are known as the Trinity Broads. These lie on the northeastern section of Broadlands near Hemsby. Sailing is permitted on its waters and the area is rich in birdlife. Broad Farm offers caravan and trailer facilities.
The Muck Fleet Dyke links the waters of Lily, Filby, Rollesby and Ormesby Broads with the River Bure but is not navigable. There is a picnic site at Filby Bridge on the A1064 and a Post Office a short distance to the east towards Filby.
Traditionally, only low levels of quiet activity are allosed on the Trinity Broads, and boating, sailing an angling are carefully regulated. Motor cruisers and outboard motors are prohibited.
