Towpath Closure only: Husbands Bosworth Tunnel

Bridge 45 to Husbands Bosworth Tunnel

Please note that the towpath between Bridge 45 (A4304 Market Harborough Road) and Husbands Bosworth Tunnel remains closed due to severe erosion and steep banks. Work is in progress to reinstate the towpath which will be re-opened early in the New Year.

UPDATE (12 March 2010): Unfortunately there will be a further delay to the restriction at Yelvertoft. The restriction will be lifted Friday 19th March.

UPDATE (19 February 2010): UPDATE (19 February 2010) : Unfortunately thee works on the marina at Yelvertoft have been delayed and so the restriction will continue for a further 3 weeks

UPDATE (21 January 2010): Due to the adverse weather conditions during January the works for the final connection will now commence Monday 18th January for 5 week.

This restriction is to facilitate the final connection of a new marina to the canal. A temporary dam structure will be in place to allow dry working.
This work will commence Monday 11th January for 5 weeks.
