Cycling along the Huddersfield Broad Canal

Cycling is permitted along the length of the Broad Canal, from Lock 1 to Aspley Basin. The towpath can be muddy, with a risk of pot-holes. Dismount under all bridges, and watch out for overhanging trees.

A British Waterways cycling permit is required, which you can download here.
