Cycling along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal

The steep gradient and many locks mean that the towpath is not suitable or safe for cyclists. Consequently, cycling is not allowed on this canal.

The country lanes in the Standedge and Marsden area offer challenging riding for the fitter cyclist.
