Fishing along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal
The Huddersfield Narrow Canal contains trout, though the water can be acidic. Angling is controlled by the following clubs:
- Lock 1 to Bayley St, Stalybridge: Stalybridge Fox AS
- Bayley St to Caroline St: Waterway Wanderers
- Mottram Rd, Stalybridge to Scout Tunnel: Waterway Wanderers
- Scout Tunnel to Mossley: - Border Anglers and Naturalists
- Mossley to Greenfield: Medlock Bridge AC
- Greenfield to Saddleworth: Diggle AC
- Saddleworth to Diggle: Saddleworth & Dist AS
- Marsden to Huddersfield: Waterway Wanderers and Slaithwaite & Dist AC (except stretch from Lock 25 to 28, Sefton Hall Piscatorials AC, and from Lock 23 to Lock 25, Colne Valley Match Group AC)
Unfortunately we don’t currently have any information on fishing and fisheries along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
