Cycling along the Lake Bala

Fishermen on Lake Bala. © Caron Promotion Ltd, 2001

Families can enjoy cycling aroung Lake Bala on gentle cycle paths and quiet roads through lovely countryside. More adventurous – and well-prepared – mountain bikers can have hours of fun tackling the challenging trails and mountain passes in the area. Bwlch Y Groes, the highest road pass in Wales, is known the world over. Specialised mountain bike centres offer dedicated tracks through forests and farmlands for the less daring cyclist.
