With the largest lake in Wales and three distinct mountain ranges to explore, there is plenty of room for everyone to walk at their own pace around Lake Bala. Walks through the valley are perfect for families and steep mountain peaks approaching 3,000 feet challenge more energetic walkers. The 10 mile Aran Ridge walk offers superb views of Lake Bala and northern Snowdonia.

More in the mood for a gentle stroll? Why not combine a short walk along the lake shore with a ride on the Bala Lake railway?
