Wildlife along the London Docklands
The old docks provide an oasis for wildfowl in an otherwise heavily built up environment. Mudchute City Farm on the Isle of Dogs covers 30 acres of land, and is the largest inner city farm and park in Europe. It was created in the 1970s from derelict land, and boasts a wildlife area, horses, sheep and cows - as well as a llama. The farm is open from 9am to 5pm daily, and entrance is free.
