Longmoor Lake is the central focus of California Country Park, encompassing 100 acres made up of pieces of Barkham, Finchampstead and Wokingham in Berkshire. It offers recreational facilities to visitors as well as serving as a rich habitat for local wildlife.

The Lake or Bog was dug out in the 19th century for brick making. By the mid-20th Century, locals flocked to bathe in the lake in summer and skate on it in winter. The site around Longmoor Lake consists of rare ancient bogland and lowland heath and the whole area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
