  1. Restriction: Bosley Locks, Macclesfield Canal

03 Jan 2012 until further notice

Associated Regional Office: Manchester & Pennine Waterways

Following the partial collapse of the bottom offside quadrant at lock 6 earlier this week, boaters requiring passage through the Bosley lock flight are required to ring Red Bull during normal working hours (01782 785703) to arrange passage at least 24 hours before they want to negotiate the flight.
The boaters are required to operate all the locks on the flight except lock 6 which will be operated by BW personnel.
The temporary arrangement will stay in place until the permanent repair has been carried out later this month.
Boaters may be asked to accept an alternative time on the requested day of passage to allow BW to manage our resources.
The lock flight will only be open for restricted passage on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until further notice.

British Waterways apologise for any inconvenience caused.
