Wildlife along the Middle Level Navigations

The Holme Fen nature reserve is located here and is home to a whole host of wildlife.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Welney has been designated a 'Wetland of International Importance' and is home to a number of less common birds like the black tern, black-tailed and the ruff. Migratory birds stop here and a whole host of other wildfowl such as pochard, teal, pintain, little plover, gulls, goldeneye and bewick's swans.
