Cycling along the New Junction Canal

Crossing the Don Aqueduct. When boats go across, their wash often goes over the side of the trough. © www.penninewaterways.co.uk

The towpath is open for cycling all the way from Bramwith, at the southern end, to Went End at the north. Please cycle with great care and courtesy to others, observing the Waterways Code for Cyclists. You must display a valid British Waterways cycling permit on your cycle at all times: this can be downloaded free of charge.
