Oulton Broad

Oulton Broad, known as the ‘southern gateway to the Broads', links the North Sea via Lake Lothing and Mutford Lock with Oulton Dyke, then the River Waveney and the rest of the Broads system. It boasts a wide range of watersports activities and facilities.

The Broad is subject to a 6 mph speed limit. There is a yacht station towards its eastern side. A marsh nature reserve lies a short distance to the south. Hire craft are not permitted through Mutford Lock.
