Oulton Dyke

Running for 1.25 miles from the River Waveney the Oulton Dyke connects with the Oulton Broad and, via Mutford Lock and Lake Lothing, gives access to the sea at Lowestoft. The Dyke is subject to a 5mph speed limit.

Oulton Dyke and its associated Broad is one of two accesses from the North Sea into the system, the other being to the north via Great Yarmouth. Hire craft are not permitted through Mutford Lock.
