Walking along the River Ant

Most of the Ant does not have a riverside path. However, you can walk from Ludham Bridge to the How Hill Nature Reserve, an attractive educational centre with regular boat trips.

There are about 200 miles of definitive footpaths in the Broads of which 60 miles are waymarked long distance routes or circular walks. The Broads Authority has sign-posted 24 walks, varying in length from half a mile to 15 miles in the Bure and Waveney Valleys and in the Ant-Thurne area. Many of these paths cross some of the most scenic landscapes and waterscapes in the Broads, sometimes following the water's edge, at other times skirting fenland or passing through grazing marsh.
