Two craft will fit into Woolhampton Lock, but it is difficult to take a working pair into the lock as a single unit. You should steer one vessel into the chamber at a time.

Regular dredging works are undertaken each winter to maintain the standard depth, but actual available depth will be dependent on adequate water supplies during dry summers.

Owners of deep draught vessels should contact the local waterway office for an update.
