River Dee (Cheshire)

The River Dee passes through magnificent borderland scenery as it tumbles from Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) through Llangollen to Chester and the sea.

Along its way, it passes over Horseshoe Falls and under the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, two landmarks around the charming town of Llangollen.

The Dee can be navigated by all craft from Farndon, in rural Cheshire, through Chester and out to the sea. The upper reaches are prized by canoeists, though access rights are hotly debated.

Yr Afon Dyfrdwy (Swydd Gaer)

Mae’r Afon Dyfrdwy yn llifo trwy ardaloedd eithriadol o brydferth ar y gororau ar ei thaith o Lyn Tegid i Langollen ac ymlaen i Gaer a’r môr.

Mae’r afon yn llifo dros Raeadr Bwlch yr Oernant ac o dan Bont Dd?r Pontcysyllte, dau le hynod o nodedig ar gyrion tref hyfryd Llangollen.

Mae’n bosibl teithio ar yr Afon Dyfrdwy mewn cychod o bob math o Farndon, yng nghefn gwlad Swydd Gaer, drwy Gaer ac allan i’r môr. Mae blaenau’r afon yn boblogaidd iawn gyda chan?-wyr, ond mae dadlau mawr ynghylch hawliau mynediad.
