Fishing along the River Eden
Being one of the cleanest rivers in Britain, the River Eden is a breeding river for salmon and trout. Other fish found in the river include grayling, chub, dace, eel, minnow and loach.
Angling on the River Eden is controlled by Penrith Anglers. Visitor angling tickets cost £10 per day or £40 per week and are available from C.R Sykes, 4 Great Dockray, Penrith; The Punchbowl Inn, Askham, near Penrith; Pooley Bridge Post Office and Langwathy Post Office.

All anglers must have an Environment Agency rod licence before fishing – these can be obtained from any Post Office.
