Walking along the River Exe
The Exe Valley Way explores the picturesque valley for almost 45 miles, from its starting point by the Exe estuary to the small village of Hawkridge on Exmoor. The walk largely follows the River Exe via footpaths and quiet country lanes, with the occasional busier stretch through towns such as Exeter and Tiverton.
The Exeter Green Circle takes you through the city's leafy suburbs and into verdant valley parks. The 12-mile walk can be undertaken in small, manageable sections. Click here for more information and to download a walking map.
