Walking along the River Fowey

Whether you are a fine weather wanderer or a keen explorer, the area around the River Fowey is ideal walking country. The Fowey estuary provides a scenic base for a number of circular routes which utilise the Fowey water ferries, and local tour groups manage weekend walks from Lostwithiel to Fowey on both sides of the river banks.

Fowey town is an excellent base for the Saints Way, which crosses Cornwall to Padstow, and the South West Coastal Path, which follows the line of the coast around the county.
