River Hull

Flowing for 20 miles from the Driffield Navigation the tidal River Hull empties into the Humber at Kingston-upon-Hull. Its northern section becomes the Driffield navigation up to the market town of Driffield.

The Humber is not for the inexperienced and adequate planning is required. Local boat clubs offer advice. Up to 3 hours should be allowed for tide to rise before entering the River Hull to allow the tide to push freshwater back upstream.
