Fishing along the River Irwell
The River Irwell is particularly good for chub, but you can also catch bream, roach and a few trout. Bury & District AS own the stretch and offer season and day tickets (also available from local tackle shops).
You should also obtain an Environment Agency rod licence from your local Post Office.
