Fishing along the River Lark
The Lark Angling and Preservation Society (01842 815421) controls the fishing on approximately twelve miles of the River Lark, from Lackford near Bury St. Edmunds out into the Fens. The first five miles or so operates as a fly only trout fishery, and from Barton Mills downstream it becomes a mixed coarse fishery.
Current membership prices are as follows:
Full Membership - £20.00
Concessionary (OAP, disabled) - £10.00
Junior 12-16 - £7.00

The River Lark predominantly abounds with roach and bream, but brown trout, pike, carp, chub, perch and dace are also up for the catching.
