Fishing along the River Ouse (Yorkshire)

Fishing around Naburn Lock is directly managed by British Waterways. The extent of angling is from a point 20 metres below Naburn Lock to the stile upstream extremity of British Waterways ownership.

In the winter the canal cutting is the main fishery as increased flows persuade fish stocks to enter stable water. During this period, good catches of roach, perch and bream are available. Day tickets are available on the bank from the duty Lock Keeper.

Current closed season regulations apply with the fishery totally closed to angling from mid March to mid June annually.
