Cycling along the River Soar

The following sections of the towpath are open to cyclists. Please cycle with great care and courtesy to others, observing the Waterways Code for Cyclists. You must display a valid British Waterways permit on your cycle at all times, which you can download and print off below.

• West Bridge, Leicester to Hope & Anchor Bridge (9.9 km): Take extra care - uneven grass towpath.
• Mill Lane Bridge to Barrow Deep Lock (0.6 km): Well surfaced towpath.
• Miller's Bridge to Zouch Road Bridge: Take extra care - subject to flooding in winter.
• Zouch Road Bridge to Redhill Lock (10.3 km): Be prepared to lift bikes over fences. Path subject to flooding in winter.
