Walking along the River Tamar

The network of paths around the Tamar Valley is perfect for those who like to explore on foot. Serious hikers rise to the challenge of the Tamar Valley Discovery Trail, a long distance route of approximately 30 miles which runs from Plymouth to Launceston and crosses both the Tamar and the River Tavy. Shorter village circuits offer an attractive alternative for walkers just out for an afternoon stroll.
