Cycling along the River Tyne
Cycling is allowed on the small sections of footpath alongside the river. Where these are not available, local footpaths, trails and minor roads provide traffic-free routes near to the river.
The nearby Kielder Water and Forest Park has 200 square miles of forest and 27 miles of lake shoreline with 13 waymarked trails and two off-road routes, with something for every type and level of cyclist, especially mountain bikers.
