Fishing along the River Tyne
Various clubs have stretches of water along the Tyne. The catch is mainly coarse fish, but there are also cod, whiting, eels, flatties, salmon and trout for the taking.
Wylam and Hagg Bank - Wylam AC Trout and coarse fishing (fly only). Day tickets available for purchase.
Ovingham and Wylam (plus 20 miles of the River Coquet) - Northumbrian AF Coarse, Salmon, sea trout & trout fishing. Annual, weekly and day tickets available.
150m stretch - Corbridge AS Free coarse fishing. Details from Corbridge Tourist Information Centre.
0.5-mile stretch, Tyne Green, Hexham - Tynedale Council Annual and Day tickets available from Hexham Tourist Information Centre.
