River Usk
From high up in the Welsh hills, the River Usk winds its way through some attractive Welsh villages and the town from which it gets its name and through the Brecon Beacons National Park.
After working its way down through the country, thick woodland and over rocks, the river swiftly meets with the River Severn in the Bristol Channel after making its way through the Newport estuary.
Sights along the way include the pleasant town of Usk, Caerleon's Roman amphitheatre and Newport Castle.
