Fishing along the River Usk
The River Usk is renowned among anglers for the wild brown trout that has been caught there. Salmon stocks are also improving, and the weight increasing, with two fish weighing over 30lbs were caught, and released, in 2002.
- Salmon season: 3 March - 17 October (fly only until 1 June); fly, spinner & worm 1 June - 15 September;
- Sea trout season: 20 March - 17 October
- Trout: 3 March - 30 September
