Cycling along the River Weaver
The following sections of the Weaver towpath are open to cyclists:
- Acton Bridge to Dutton Horse Bridge (2km): rural cycle route.
- Winsford Flashes to Newbridge Swing Bridge (3.5km): purpose-built cycleway with fibre decking pathway.
- Sir John Deane's College to Hunts Lock railway viaduct (0.9km): purpose-built cycleway with fibre decking pathway.
These three sections are popular with cyclists and other users, so please take care and give thought to the needs of others. Do not speed.
You will need to print out and display a British Waterways cycling permit, which you can download using the link.
