Stoppage: Development at Tower Wharf, Chester

Works are due to commence on the Tower Wharf development on Monday 16th July 2007 and will last for approximately two years. The area between Telford's Warehouse public house and the turnover bridge including the slipway will be closed during these works. Telford's Warehouse will be open throughout the works and access will be from Raymond Street. The turnover bridge will also stay open.

Advice: Tyrley Waterpoint

The water point at Tyrley is currently not available.

The water supply at Tyrley is supplied from a borehole in a nearby field. The water is pumped and treated before it is supplied to the waterpoint. Unfortunately the pump and filter have failed and BW are currently investigating the most efficient, cost effective and sustainable solution to this problem.

The nearest alternatives to the North are Market Drayton and to the South, Norbury Junction.

Restriction: Wardle Lock

Top paddle towpath side is not operational at Wardle Lock on the SUC. Stop planks need to be inserted and the problem investigated with a view to possibly replacing the paddle.
