Stewartby Lake

Back in the 1930s, Stewartby Lake was a clay pit from which bricks were made. It remained so for some 30 years, until its used was no longer required. Ten years later it was filled with water and the beginnings of a leisure facility were born.

Now part of the Marston Vale Millennium Country Park, this 287-acre lake is just one of the habitats here for many types of wildlife.

The Stewartby Water Sports Club looks after the water sports and angling activities - permitted in a designated area of the water. If you just want to wander, visit the Forest Centre which has exhibitions, as well as a Cafe Bar, a sensory wildlife garden and an adventure play area for the children.
