Wildlife along the Stourbridge Canal

The canal provides a haven for wildlife in an industrial landscape. It is an important communication route between Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation such as those at Buckpool and Saltwells, which adjoin the canal. The canal edges are an important refuge and breeding ground for water voles.
