Boating along the Stroudwater Navigation

Boats can be launched into the principal restored length of the Stroudwater Navigation using the slipway at Blunder Lock. A short distance of the canal at Saul Junction is also navigable, and connected to the main system: this is principally used for moorings.

Phase 1 of the restoration will see the canal fully restored to navigation from 'The Ocean', by the railway crossing in Stonehouse, to its terminus in Stroud and through to the Thames & Severn Canal at Brimscombe Port.
