Cycling along the Stroudwater Navigation

The Stroudwater Canal towpath is not generally open to cyclists. However, there are 15 miles of cycling along the towpath of the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal from Hempsted Bridge to Sharpness Docks. Please remember that pedestrians always have right of way and that it is safer to dismount where the path is either rough or narrow, and also through tunnels.
