Cycling along the Tame Valley Canal
The towpaths are open to cyclists throughout. You will need a British Waterways cycling permit, which you can download free of charge, and should follow the Waterways Code for cyclists.
Parts of the towpath are uneven, so please take care in wet weather. Beware of anglers and narrow sections of towpath, particularly past the Perry Barr Lock Flight, which is popular with dog walkers.
