Walking along the Thames & Severn Canal
A long-distance footpath, the Thames & Severn Way, roughly follows the line of the canal. Since many sections are on private land, there is no access to the original line of the towpath in several places.
The Cotswold Canals Trust publishes two excellent books of short walks around the Thames & Severn and [Stroudwater canals.
