Fishing along the Ullswater
Ullswater is clear but deep, and in the deepest part lives a curious fish called the schelly, a sort of freshwater herring. Ullswater's marginal week growth encourages insects to thrive, creating a rich hunting ground for hungry fish. Trout fishing can be enjoyed in complete isolation by cautiously wading the shoreline where modest casts cover prime holding water.
