Walking along the Wey & Arun Canal
Much of the waterway is on private land, with no right of way along the former towpath. However, the Wey-South path has been established to follow the canal whenever possible, diverting via country lanes and rural footpaths when appropriate. For more information, we suggest you consult the detailed maps on the Wey & Arun Canal Trust website.
The well-known long distance route of the South Downs Way, together with the former railway route of the Downs Link, run near the canal and give easy passage into the unspoiled countryside.
